Hi All
Firstly Happy New Year.
A few years ago I purchased the Art Dram 15 Diamond loudspeakers. They were first class speakers which I thought couldn't be bettered.
A year ago Derek Dunlop owner of Art contacted me and advised of a new speaker they had made called the Impression Diamond Reference.
I was sceptical to say the least. He offered to bring a pair over from Scotland with no obligation on my part.I thought nothing to loose .
Over became with the 10 inch model.
At first sight they are beautifully made speakers with cabinets made of layered birch ply.
We connected them up to my system and after valves had warmed up played a vinyl LP.
Within two minutes I was sold .I could not believe the difference soundstage ,3d image, bass, clarity, where do I stop.
Played a few more records which confirmed what I was hearing
Art totally resigned the interior with wave form structure inside and upgraded crossovers.
The tecn8cal details can be found on their Web site if interested.
During the year I visited the Dublin hifi show and the Edinburgh hifi show.and be perfectly honest never heard anything to beat them.
Saying that the only true comparison one can get is by sampling new equipment on their own systems which in most cases is not always possible.
I could wax lyrical about these loudspeakers.
Finish off by saying if you can afford them they are an opportunity not to be missed.
Any one interested in hearing them send me a PM and you will be welcome.
Regards to all
Alan
