I got the latest Cloney newslettrer and he mentions a new revision of the Quad 33/303. So I looked it up and the above is a good description.
It's an interesting concept but it is really (as far as I can judge) a totally new design but in casework similar to the old.

I watched a review on You Tube last night from Tauron, it seems to be faithful to the sound of the original - you decide if that's a good thing!

I have to say I really like the styling.... they were on static display last year in Munich, but hopefully we get to hear them soon.

I always liked the Quad style but the sound was never, to my ears, engaging..

I used to have the Quad 33/405 playing into a pair of Kef 104ABs that I bought from Peter Dand in Clonskeagh, I loved that kit.
