Help me hear the TV sound....

I use hearing aids but still miss most of the conversation on TV and videos. I have Soundbar and blending it with the TV sound means that I get most of the News and weather forecasts on TV.

Is there a simple way to hear more without filling the room with amplification and speakers?

Thanks

Sounds like a job for EQ, and not more speakers.
Soundbar should be sufficient, since it doesn't have to do much lows/highs, its just the question can it go loud enough.
Tv should have EQ capability, or sound profile...
Or, a better hearing aid?

What you need is an Assistive Hearing device especially if you really want to hear dialogue without the help of subtitles. What make of hearing aid do you currently use? Hearing aids on their own no matter how good or expensive they are will only go some of the way.

Really what you have should work - perhaps ask about more specific hearing aids?
The next step up is to install a ring or coil from the speakers. This "encircles" the area you're sitting in and rests on the floor. You'd sometimes see them at meeting rooms where they wish to include everyone - public information meetings etc. It's little more than a ring of wire which (somehow) amplifies the signal. Barely noticale in a room. I've never had to set one up as it's a job for the sound guy working the PA. Not usually a domestic solution I imagine but worth inquiring about.
Good luck with your quest Tom

I'm using Phonak Lumity aids and using Phonak's TV Connector V2 plugged into digital audio output of the TV. Works brilliantly for me (and the rest of the family). Liken it to listening to TV with headphones on and allowing me to control volume separate from TV output.

I use Widex hearing aids, and have a Bluetooth unit plugged into the TV that links straight to them. It made my life a whole lot better.

Thanks to everyone who replied, seems to be a more common problem than I thought. My hearing aids support Bluetooth so one of the Bluetooth transmitters should work for me. Hope at last, thanks again.....
