BluRay Player Recommendations Please

I have a Panasonic BluRay player (DPM-BD80) and I am using it with a Panasonic 1080P Plasma TV. The player is over 10 years old. It is worn out and I don't think it's worth fixing. What players do people recommend. I do not particularly want internet access. Is it worth getting a 4K capable player. I am playing through a home cinema system so both picture and sound quality are important. All advice appreciated.
