If you are in need of some music distraction you could do worse than checking some of the documentaries on Netflix. I fully enjoyed “Sample This”, and “Satan and Adam”. I didn’t know of either before giving them a go. There’s some great eye openers regarding session musicians on Sample This. Google them you’ll get a lot more information.

And obviously The Defiant Ones for those who haven't seen it. Even if gangsta rap isn't your particular cup of Rosie it's a very enjoyable watch.

I’ll have to look that one up.
Some more; “Standing in the Shadow of Motown”, “Muscle Shoals”, “20 Feet from Stardom”, “The Wrecking Crew”, “Super Mensch: The Legend of Shep Gordon”.

Well I don't know any of those. Better tell them I can't come back to work.

I still have Muscle Schoals to watch from January, and not for the first time either. Super Mensch is great too. They all are! Honest movies about people we should be far more aware of.

Sound City is an excellent music documentary about the fabled recording studio.

Also Dave Grohl's 8-part music documentary called Sonic Highways is a treat as well.

I have those Sonic Highways on the HD too... I'd forgotten it. Excellent!

Another documentary I really enjoyed was All Things Must Pass, the story of Russell Solomon the man who started the Tower Records chain.
