SOLD One Thing Audio Quad ESL57's / Oak Rupert Stands

Again same as the Jadis many forum members have heard these iconic speakers from Peter Walker. Anne has put up with two sets of Quad speakers for a long time! Have decided again reluctantly that I have to face reality and create a bit of space in the house.
These have Oltec treble panels from One Thing Audio and were completely revamped by OTA. They sound glorious and unlike a lot of 57's are perfectly balanced and work as originally designed. The Rupert Oak stands lift them off the floor to the correct height for listening.
Have priced them at €1000 ono on adverts. I would be hoping they stay on the forum so happy to discuss a fair price for them if anybody is seriously interested. They also come with boxes for transportation but that requires the stands to be removed.
If you look at One Thing Audio's site you will see to get a pair revamped fully will require a set of speakers/refurb costs and also you will need to buy the Rupert stands. That comes to approx €2500 depending on what you spend on a pair. Of course that is not including the risk and cost of having them couriered to Ireland. In my case I went to have a listen in the UK and brought them back myself. Haven't seen any pair needing work go for under €500 in Ireland and similar in the UK.
