Wanted: Booster Amplifier for Portable Player

I have a ZEN x-fi3 portable music player. It plays FLAC files to my headphones. The ZEN software is nothing to write home about but it works and sounds fine.
Two things to put you in the picture:
1 My hearing is not what it used to be so the volume control is set close to or at max. And even at that the sound is not loud!
2 I can feed the audio output into a guitar amp [the amp has an MP3/line in socket for that purpose] but the sound is weak - I feel it needs a bit of a push.
What I want or think I want is a booster amplifier that will add some oomph to the audio output signal. If anyone has one that is surplus to requirements, please PM your price and details, or anyone who cares to suggest one that will fulfill my needs, that would be brilliant.
