Sad news this evening - Sharon Jones died at only 60 today - although I got to know her recently for the last couple of albums with the dap kings , they were great records.

She's been battling cancer for quite some time but it's very sad. Her career was a late one but she made some great records. RIP Sharon

Sad indeed. I've been a fan for years, got to see her and the Dap-Kings in the Button Factory a few years back, dragged my brother along to the gig, he became an instant fan.
