Thought some of you might get a kick out of this. A new toy arrived today:
And I couldn't resist a little play with it to see if it worked. These are 2 quick shots of a Linn entry level MM cart. Its yellow, not even sure what it is.

You will have great fun with that USB Microscope Fran, I have one on my desk at work and it is a necessary part of my job for sorting out issues at work.
Have a look at your fingerprint some day and watch the droplets of moisture on the move between the "grooves" there :-)
I know I am a bit of a geek before anyone points it out!!

Another couple of pics. The reason I bought it was to check SRA - and while its not just the most intuitive way ever, I was able to check mine at just 90deg - which is probably a little on the soft side. Apparently around 3-4mm tonearm rise for a 9" arm will move it 1deg, so there isn't huge room to maneuver, but still. Interesting to see the stylus tip though!!

This is another of the linn MM cart. What I need to do next is figure out what does wear actually look like. From the photo below, it would appear that both sides are almost flat, ie well worn out. Need to check a new cart next to really see.
