Looking - Monitors & Sub

Post by Dean-Kennedy »

Looking preferably for a set of B&W dm601's, although any monitor with a Kevlar or carbon fibre cone will do(5.25" but the cabinets can be extended to 6" if necessary).
Condition of the cabinets is not a priority as the driver tweeter and crossover will be installed to a set of carbon fibre monitors that I have made (photo attached).
Also looking for a sub between 100 & 200 watts.
Any information or offers are appreciated.
The speaker was damaged while on display at an event.
The system is passive, also i work for a composites company, that is why i would like to have a kevlar/carbon cone, to keep with the composite speaker.

the pic below is just grabbed from the 'net but mine are in perfect working order. (some cabinet damage.)
The woofer is a 6.5 inch unit though.

When Dean expressed interest I checked prices and they seem to go for €400/£400 so, taking into account the damage, I'm looking for €300. They've been in the corner of my son's room for years so they are a bit dusty.

See pic of damage below with black gaffing tape over it. The grill, when in place, hides much of it. As these were only ever in a cinema setup they were used with a REL sub so never were driven to really low frequencies. Mind you those B&W dome woofer do go low!
