Hi,
I am selling my second April Music Eximus DP-1 DAC / Pre / Headphone amp ;) I had one before and I liked it so much I had to buy it again (this is however not the same unit as the first one). Let it be the best testimony for how high I rate this device. Now selling it one more time.
Below almost same text as for the last advert from while back :)
It comes with all original packaging and accessories. It works flawlessly and the DAC is in like new condition.
The price is 1150 euro including shipping charges. Local pick-up is also available or I could deliver in close distance to Dublin.
It is quite extraordinary "little" box for the price. One gets 3 in 1 were all 3 functions deliver in spades. It has multitude of ins (2x RCA coax, 1x BNC, 2x analogue, 1x i2s, 1 optical toslink, and USB) / outs (set of analogue RCA and XLR) and very good xmos (thesycon driver) usb implementation said to be same as April Music Stello U3 which is their well acclaimed dedicated coax converter.
It is truly fully balanced topology with two separate DAC chips working in dual mono setup.
DAC section is very nice and rare combo of musicality and deep detail retrieval which does not get in the way of the music. Pin point localisation, black background, very immersive sound staging and vocals to die for. It will also up sample if we decided so.
Pre is fully analogue and matches if not exceeds my dedicated single pre box Primare PRE30.
Head Phone amp punches hefty 1.5W of power per channel and comes with optional bass boost function. It also comes with, as low as it gets, impedance of 0.1 ohm which is a perfect match for all and any headphones on the market including low impedance / high sensitive headphones like D7100 but it will still power without a problem likes of power hungry orthos.
