Minty 2.5 year old Ayon Triton III for sale. Class A valve amp with new KT150s. Approx 125 wpc in pentode and 75 wpc in triode. Original owner from new.

Unfortunately while it sounds great (particularly in triode mode with Totem mani 2s), it won't quite drive my Thiel CS6s (86db sensitivity with impedance dip to 2.3Ω) to their best so I am currently using a Sonic Frontiers Line 3 and Power 3 @ 220wpc to get the job done.

Will take KT88, KT120 (which I used), KT150 etc. Proper autobiasing so you don't need a volt meter or screwdriver to use them. See reviews on the web.

New retail price approximately €8000. I am asking for €4000 (lowest second hand price I have seen for one of these) to reflect the fact that I would rather not ship due to weight (45kg). I had a shipping disaster earlier this year with speaker stands which went missing and I had to replace them and the insurance didn't quite cover the cost so if possible I would like to sell in Ireland where I can deliver or have collected.

Cheers

Very nice looking amp and the reviews are excellent. I made the same mistake as the stereomojo reviewer in thinking they were Chinese maybe because of the name but these are made in Austria. Good luck with the sale somebody will end up with a very nice amp there.

Cheers guys!

I was originally using a Sonic Frontiers Power 2se/Line 3 (about 130 wpc) to drive my Thiels and then switched for the Ayon. I then managed to score a second hand pair of Power 3 monos in good nick, from Greece of all places. The extra (double) power really makes the Thiels sing so I was faced with some choices. Either upgrade the Triton to Ayon Epsilon monos (12k :() or sell the Triton. I could have looked at new speakers but to get near sota today would be really expensive and my Thiels from circa 1999 (175lbs per side with no packing) would be difficult/impossible to sell.

Still kind of in two minds since these are the best built amps I have ever seen (lifted!) and will sound fab with most real world speakers.

BTW I can offer a guarantee on this amp until end of Mar 2016.

Best of luck. I have seen and heard Ayon many times and they make a great product.
