sound deadening pads

Hi,

I am looking for sound deadening pads that are used for the speaker’s cavity.
All what’s on eBay or amazon is not available for shipping to Ireland.
The one I found in Halfords are with aluminium foil.
I am looking for pads with glue on one side and grooved top side like on the link below.

http://3mcollision.com/products/sound-d ... 08840.html

Possible someone has some left after DIY speaker’s project??
1-2 sheets 50x50 will be enough.

Thanks
Maciej

Hi Maciej, for material that does not ship to Ireland try using http://www.parcelmotel.com/ . You can ship something tp ParcelMotel's address in Newtownabbey in Co Antrim and their courier (Nightline) will place your purchase in a ParcelMotel near you (select the nearest one to you from their website when you sign up. You'll get a text and email when your part arrives and a code to open the compartment where it is stored. The total cost is usually cheaper than direct shipment, it's fast and efficient and no waiting at home for Postman or courier. I use it all the time.

Hi Maciej, it's a great service and the Newtownabbey address qualifies for such things as Amazon's "free shipment in UK" . Also some sellers especially on Ebay.co.uk don't ship to Ireland because either they never heard of Ireland or think it's somewhere dubious.
It's also usable within Ireland eg your seller sends it to ParcelMotel's Dublin address and it's couriered to the ParcelMotel unit near you. Really useful if you're out all day can miss postmanor courier.

Enjoy

I can second Parcel Motel. From small headphone amps to car parts! I don't know why some sellers won't ship to Ireland but it's not a problem anymore and as Ken says some sellers even have free shipping to the UK. I can't fault Parcel Motel at all, as soon as the package arrives in Antrim you get an email and photo and it's in your area a day or two later.

I can also confirm Parcel Motel as a great service.
I picked a location in Cabinteely near work so I can pick it up on the way home from work.

The real tease with my drop off point is that often the item arrives in the box at about 10pm or later at night and the text arrives, so when I am at home I am often tempted to drive down from home at that time just to get the new toy....the child at heart part of me often cannot resist when i get those texts at night :-)
Cheers, Pearse.

So far so good. There is a branch in Naas too, so it could not be easier for me now.

Whoever set up the business had to face some dilemma in the past I guess, so came up with solution…….a great idea, so fair play to him.

Ken,
So sending to Newtownabbey in NOI will qualify for free shipping if the seller states this (Amazon, eBay) but then obviously you would need to pay the cost of sending it by Nightline couriers from NOI to IRE?

Thanks

Pearse, you can reduce your stress levels by requesting no text/mail between 9pm and 7am

If I may answer... yeah, you'll give your address as Newtownards Co Antrim so the seller knows no different. Getting the package from Antrim to Naas is included in the price and looked after by Parcel Motel. The price starts at about 3.95 but goes up if the item needs a bigger box.
