New 5th Gen NUC music server/player

Hi,

I'm searching for feedback from music lovers using the new 5th gen Nuc's as a music streamer/PC.

I am contemplating investing in this unit for music streamer duties, running either MPD, vortexbox, or most likely Daphile.....

Connection will be to a Marantz HD-DAC1 headphone amplifier.

Either directly via usb or via an external usb to spdif converter. Headphones will be AKG k712 pro's. Headless software operation is a must....via iphone/android app.

I understand the NUC's performance may be slightly limited by its on board dc to dc converters, but I'm looking for a PC solution which is stylish, small and natively supports wireless to my router NAS (where my music is now stored for ease of use with my multi-room Sonos system, photo sharing, etc.... )

I would also seek any comparisons of the Nuc i5 v's laptop performance on batteries....
As I currently have a decent Acer i5 laptop which could serve these duties quite easily.
