Hi i'm not sure,as i've said it's not my thing,i like the simple things in life, take a record from the sleeve, put it on the TT,drop the arm,sit back and enjoy.

ok actually looks like this
wolfson 8770 dac chip
it has a whole lot of functions that id never use
just good stereo sound please:)
after a bit of research the os seems to be linux based this hardware is either the same as the s3000 or a near match
as apparently the s3000 model windows os will work perfectly on it according to threads on other forums
the os is not easily obtainable so i may not be able to upgrade :(
frank did say to me that he thought playback from the hdd sounded better than the cd drive and id agree with that without hesitation
id prefer nothing to be spinning in the unit so if i get sorted os wise id like to try an ssd
the faster than realtime recording on the brochure slogan gave me a giggle
but its actually much faster than realtime :)
i found the i2s pins on the mainboard so i might be able to try a different dac
id imagine theres room to improve on psu
it all seems to be daisy chained
uses -12, 0, 5,12v
dunno what the -12 is for but the old drives need both 5 and 12v
