I will put in the words that were in the ad when I bought it ( owner agreed) ill also put a link to my ad on wig wam so you can see pics
This is a Duncan DAC using the Gigawork board. I got Brent at Fidelity Audio to sort out the board as Duncan never does anything much to them. All critical caps were changed for Panasonic FC and Tantalum Capacitors, some of the circuit was changed, all 5 of the regs were changed for his S-power LINK and the up-sampler was given one of his ultra clock PSU LINK also transformer for DAC board was up graded. EFG London LTD (where I send all my tube gear) rebuilt the output stage, upped the smoothing and reworked regulation. All transformers were upgraded and better caps for input (Audio Note) and output with Clarity Cap DTAC (which use to be top of their range and very expensive). The output stage has a choke power supply and is tube regulated with a Valvo EZ80 and the output tubes are the very good ShuGuang Treasure CV181-Z (6SN7). I got a buffer circuit built for the power supply. Originally when you turned the whole thing off the DAC was switching off before the output stage power supply discharged so you got a very load whooshing noise coming from the speakers. This could have blown the amp so there are now two switches on the back, switch one on then the other same when switching off and there is now not that problem. I have upgraded the jitter chip to the superior dir9001 and there are 2 pairs of phone outs so you can hook up to 2 amps. There is also a switch on the back to lift the ground as depending on your system can make it sound better. The selector switch is rotary to toggle between USB, coax and optical. Could be some other stuff but cannot remember at the moment.
