Question on this cast off from Moynalty Audio. 2 x USB 3.0 inputs. Using both one for the Dac and the other to feed the HDD with ze muzak. Had a quick chat with Pearse and his thoughts are to use only one input i.e. Dac with the pang card.
What are others doing with this?

I see Nigel's cards have only one USB input.

ok i can't remember testing it,
two possible issues bringing hdd noise on to the usb card/dac and the sharing of resources
neither is a good idea

if i could buy the nec usb chip and build a usbcard from scratch i would
so as to minimise it down further
more unnecessary functionality, traces, wire and power consumption is never a positive

Will use the funny 20 pin yoke to power the usb operating system or even maybe sata point with ssd and 20pin for the hdd.
