I have a Saorview Triax TR112 http://www.tvtrade.ie/triax-tr112-saorv ... anual.html set-top box that I bought just about when the analogue signal was switched off.
I have updated the firmware to the latest ..
It wont let me make recordings .. I have tried with both a USB stick and an external [powerred] 500 Gbyte drive. If I set it to record on a timer it seems to just record the first few minutes of the program.
If I try to record/pause the current program it says something like 'disk is too slow' but it runs anyway but usually does not work.
Can anyone suggest either how to fix this [maybe I have a wrong setting] or recommend a different box that works.
Thanks
James

Re: Saorview set-top box : which will record ?
I think the problem is the hard drive orvusb key. I have a similar box (Ferguson ariva 120) and I see the same message with one of my memory sticks, although not with an external powered hard drive. I think they also need external hard drives to have their own power supply as the USB power in the box itself ain't up to it.

I've tried with both a usb memory stick and a mains powered external disk but neither work ..
