I had intended to attend this but had to cancel unfortunately. Did anyone get to go to it?

Sadly no. I had also intended to go but Hazel was away over the weekend so I would have needed to get a babysitter for Saturday night. Shame really, my facebook wall has been littered with talk of this for weeks, and I really fancied the idea. I've never been to a live performance of the work.

Yes, I was very sorry that I had to miss it as I really like to support such performances. Hopefully it was a great success and will be repeated.
