ST Vincent Olympia Theatre

I got her first three albums and thought the collaboration with David Byrne was excellent and by all accounts the Electric Picnic show was fairly hot but reckon some of the punters who might have attended this show based on Love this Giant might go away a bit shocked. Spiky electric guitar that would have Angus Young nodding in approval was the order of the evening. I guessed what was coming after hearing some of the tracks but not sure if bodies who were entralled with her earlier work would have come away happy from this event.

Think I needed to be 20yrs younger and down in the pit bopping to get the full effect. Amazing how Annie Clark with a nice full head of black hair feels the need to go peroxide blonde but that is coming from somebody who is hanging on to the last few threads.

There are a few rougher recordings from the paradiso and paris which give the general idea but the above are well recorded.
