I managed 126: that I've never even heard of, not even ringing a bell!

A lot of unfamiliar names for me there too. I recognised quite a few of the earlier composers from listening to Gloria, but there was still a huge swathe I didn't know. I also had a bit of trouble with the modern composers.
The other thing is that I know a lot of composer names but I couldn't be sure if I've heard any of their music. For example, you mentioned Englelbert on facebook, and you almost certainly know this, but you may not know that you know it. Go to 4:15 here

In fairness, it's the masterful orchestration that really lifts that work to greatness.

I got to 126 that I've got music from in collection.
Some not listened to for a long time.
Cheers

Approximately 180 of these composers feature in my collection, some to a greater extent than others naturally.

I have managed 157...(struggled with a lot of 20th century). I noticed quite a few Renaissance composers in there, many of whom I have heard of course... but if your collection only goes as far back as Bach, I think you could be quite disadvantaged.

it would appear to me that if the portrait is a photo, I've more than likely never heard the name....
