Does anybody know a source of audio grade passive components in Ireland? I only need a few resistors and the usual source in England are not being very accommodating on carriage!

Try parcelmotel. The item gets delivered to NI. You get circa €10 credit when you sign up so that delivery will be free.
They send the parcel from antrim to nominated pickup locations in ireland. It seems the way to go for small parcels as it limits the size of the carriage charge and works in cases where the company does not do overseas delivery.

All I need is a 3.3 ohm 15W wirewound resistor I damaged while cleaning the pots on the crossover on a Gale 401. The value isn't super critical as it's in series with a 2.2 ohm resistor and a 5 ohm potentiometer. These are the actual values, the values on the Gale site are 3.9 ohm, 2.2 ohm and a 4 ohm pot, but apparently Gale were always a little eccentric with values and wiring.

10W would be great, the speakers are never driven particularly hard. Do you do mail order?
