JS Bach St Matthew Passion 7:30pm Monday March 2013

Friends of mine are involved in this production and have canvassed me to make an effort to drum up punters.
This may appeal to the classical buffs in our midst!

It is on at 7:30pm Next Monday in St Pius X Church College Drive, Templelogue.

Don't think I have any sway in the catholic church. Always afraid I will be struck by lighting when crossing the door.

Sean I know nothing about any of this but the guy involved in arranging this always puts a huge effort into getting these sort of things right. I believe some of the performers are relatively well known in classical circles but again haven't a clue in this area. I would be going myself except work gets in the way but the rest of the family will be there. I think it has cost a lot to stage hence he has asked people he knows to spread the word. If you go hope you enjoy it.

It's the Orchestra of St Cecilia who I have seen in the Concert Hall once that are the "backing band"

Killian Farrell is a local Templeogue lad who I have heard performing since he was in primary school when he had a voice like the Aled Jones or Paul Auty.

He organised a similar concert last year of St. John's Passion which was a wonderful event.

Well worth supporting and it will be a great night.

Just realised John they can call in to you to get tickets. Ivor needs to discuss back stage passes you are the go to guy for that!
