There are a few boxes of vinyl in my folks place that I plan on picking up sometime over the next couple of weeks. I suspect though that some of it might not be in the best of shape varying from being warped to never had a clean before.
Anyone with experience of record cleaning machines, pro and cons, types of machines? I realise that there is apoint of no return if the vinyl is badly damaged but I'm hoping that much of it is just in need of a good clean to be honest.
Cheers,
Dave

Re: Record Cleaning
wet cleaning/vacuum is probably your best bet. It will remove nearly all crud from the surface. As for records that are physically damaged - well theres no real hope for them.
You'd be amazed what can be brought back though!!
Oh yeah - you could PM davidMc here, he has a RCM that is possibly up for sale or rent....
