Power blocks - any suggestions?

One of the last parts in my system to be looked at is a mains power distribution block. I have looked at Supra because of their price/quality seem very high. I would of course love to be able to get a QRT qbase 6 but the price is a little out of my league. Any suggestions?

Maplins sell Tacima and they don't seem to over price them. I've picked up decent ones at reduced prices over the years - different model to that one - more like a small component itself!

I have one too, and can confirm that it conducts electricity very well.

I have three dotted around the house. I haven't a clue anymore if they add anything as I subsequently added some power cables but there was no doubt it cleaned up the sound when used initially. They are small money and I believe worth getting. I have never seem the one Ivor talks about. Which one is that Ivor as I thought you had gone for a consonance power supply conditioner whatever?

The tacima is upstairs on the AV system

I thought it made a difference in my old house but that was a while back.
The filter I have on the hifi is indeed a Consonance like this...
picked up as part of a deal from Audiolincs some time back.
I've yet to notice any tangible difference using better mains cables or blocks but I do have the hifi mains separated from the dirty household stuff. To be honest if anyone is considering spending serious money on mains conditioning talk to an electrician as well.

maybe you should try dalkey audio cables -he has individual mk sockets with all the contacts silverplated by a silversmith and then silver wire -you could mount in ordinary socket boxes for now and experiment later -
frank schroder has designed a turntable and arm reciently -the company are called artemis labs and the plinth uses what looks like 10mm bamboo sheets in diffarent directions maybe he knows something
-dcs use a music works block in there demonstration room which uses a arcrylic case to hold the sockets -
there is also a uk based cable maker called mark grant who has blocks at cheap prices
