Post by Seán »

The Bach medal 2012 goes to Masaaki Suzuki, the period instrument organist, harpsichordist and conductor.

Past winners are Herbert Blomstedt (2011), Philippe Herreweghe (2010), Frieder Bernius (2009), Hermann Max (2008), Nikolaus Harnoncourt (2007), Ton Koopman (2006), Sir John Eliot Gardiner (2005), Helmuth Rilling (2004) and Gustav Leonhardt (2003).

Well-deserved too!

I'm looking forward to Cantatas Vol. 50, which I have on order at MDT.

I agree Ciaran....Suzuki has put in sterling work on JS Bach's works over the years.
