So do I and young people don't notice the deficiencies inherent in MP3 playback.

not even notice..... most young people either aren't aware of the deficiencies of mp3s in the first place OR else if they do, they don't care as they mostly listen to their music on the go via ipods etc.
That said, I think the vinyl resurgence *might* change that.

thump-crash they will be happy, and mp3 will deliver that.

In my day, we didn't notice the deficiencies inherent in multiple-generation copied cassettes. :)

I had that too. The only
slight drawback was that the copied tape would be still blank 50% of the time after recording and/or the original tape would get mashed up. Good times.

Actually, I find the lack of ear splitting highs and bowel loosening lows to be the most visible aspect of Mp3's
