Nordost Heimdall Speaker Cables

Got a loan of these cables from Ivan at Cloneys. I was afraid to ask the price. They really seem to add definition clarity etc to my basic system.
Is anybody else using these or tried them at some stage? I am going to try them for a week or so and give them back and see if reverting to my orginal cable changes anything for the worst. If I need to buy can I pass around a begging bowl?

I recently got incredible results with Tellurium Q black speaker cable. It's about £46 (sterling) a metre terminated. Can be bought from KronosAV.

I had Heimdalls in a previous incarnation of my system, and also found increased definition and clarity. A later system change demanded something with more meat on the bone, but they were great for what I needed at the time.

Are they new or second-hand?

Ivor:I followed your threads on the tellurium with interest. Did you get to borrow the cables to try out? I was very surprised you changed from the nanotec cables. They are certainly more affordable than the nordost range.

Simon: These are ex demo. I wanted to try them as I am using hiemdall interconnects and wondered if I went up the chain on speaker cables fromt the nordost solar winds would I see dramatic improvements. More meat on the bone? Is that a better bass response and warmer sound?
What speaker cables did you go for?

No I didn't. I don't think that was an option. I read a lot of threads and reviews of the cables paying particular attention to systems like my own. I rang Kronos, paid over the phone and they couriered them down to me. Simples.

Hi Tony, I changed to Kubala Sosna Fascination when I moved from PMC to Kharma because, as you correctly suggested, I was looking for more warmth without losing clarity. I felt the K-S did that, but what I've learned since about how my sound seems to change so much, I wonder about such findings now. Anyway, I always felt the move from Nordost was sideways rather than up.

Hi Tony.
I have a 3m pair of Kubala Sosna Expression that I'm considering moving on.
Only because they are too short for me right now.
Happy to lend to you with a view to maybe selling them.
Cheers,
Gerry

Thanks Ivor, Will check them out.

Simon I followed your problems and am afraid I have no idea how you can sort it except maybe run a new circuit. I dont know if that is possible or not but it would be the cheapest option and would eliminate other items in the house causing problems.
Also and I remember at the meet up Giant haystacks explaining about putting an earth spike outside your hifi room and wire to that. Lars Nordoster advised the same.He regarded it as paramount to prevent BAD sound. I may do this when/if I ever get the time.

Thanks Gerry I will pm you. Dont know much about those cables but have heard them mentioned in cloneys a few times.
I assume they are in nordost territory?

K-S Fascination is around Heimdall money, the Expression is a step up.

The time has come to give back the heimdalls to Cloneys. They are too expensive for me to buy at this time. Interestingly I changed one speaker cable ( I dont know how sensible or scientific that is) to a transparent audio musicwave cable that I got from DaveF awhile ago. I don't think I can hear any significant difference. Will try and give them both a listen over the next day or so to be certain. I wonder when you either buy or try something expensive your mind convinces you it has to be better. In this case because they are too expensive my mind is working in the opposite direction. Hope to try some more cables over the next while before committing any dosh assuming there will still be funds available.
