Which Symphony cycles?

After watching the highly enjoyable and fairly educational program about Symphonies last night on BBC4, I feel I should let these be my priorities for my next amazon order. I am sure there is no definite answer to this big question. But a few tips based on my preferences would be really useful. I tend to prefer a warmer sound with more refinement than bite. And of course if they are well recorded, this would be a bonus :)
Beethoven, Brahms, Bruckner, Mahler, Thcaikovsky, Dvorak, Sibelius
Hope I didn't forget someone in that list. ;)
Thanks,
Claus
