Dual TT now set up (thanks Stephane) with vinyl but in my haste and not having used vinyl for 20+ years i forgot i needed a Phono Stage!!!!
My Preamp Conrad Johnson Premier 14 does not have a phono stage....still learning!

Can anyone recommend a good Phono stage, willing to pay up to €500 for one that goes well with the Dual, CJ kit and Quad electrostatics?

Cheers, Pearse.

I have a Tom Evans Microgroove + set up for a Sumiko evo 3 cart (moving coil high output) here. Worth trying.

Would it have to go back to Wales to be set up for the Ortofon MM cartridge Ivor?

From what i have read so far there is a big difference between MC and MM cartridge setup.
Appears to be a good phono stage from several reviews i have read.

Might drop in to Cloneys this week to see if they have any i can try.

It would. I'd cover the cost of that.
Ask Noel for his opinon on the amp and if it's worth sending back (you can mention it's mine). He deals with Tom Evans regularly.

I could be wrong but I think that the set up for the sumiko high output mc is the same as for mm carts.
