Certainly, they are my favourite vocal ensemble and I 'collect' everything they release. Some releases I'm not too fondof, but that's more due to choice of music than performance.
I have never heard them live though.
Cheers

Here is another admirable and enterprising recording from DHM. Anna Bonitatibus has one of those high/mezzo or low/soprano voices like Joyce DiDonato. In this 2 cd recital she explores one dozen operas composed on the character of Assyrian Queen Semiramis. The most famous Semiramide is of course Rossini´s, and her big aria is included here, but we are also treated to much less well known versions from Caldara, Porpora, Traetta, Manuel García and Meyerbeer among others. The Traetta aria is particularly difficult, with hair-rising coloratura and a lovely violin obbligato hardly less difficult. The only problem with a recital like this is that it leaves you mouth-watered wanting more.
The period instrument orchestra is excellent, and it comes with a big and handsome booklet that needs a cardboard box to fit it in.
Bravo to la Bonitatibus for making this recital possible.
