Heh, I'm frequently not inclined to listen to Gloria after the Bach section!

Ah Simon, you are an early riser so, earlier than me most likely, all because of that beautiful daughter of yours perhaps?

You're probably unfamiliar with 'Classical Kids' at 7am? This morning, like most Sundays, I heard all of that...

It's not a bad show, and has a fairly eclectic mix. I often enjoy the selections, albeit not as much as I'd enjoy an extra hour's sleep.

I know I'm biased, but for me, the 3 Hummel Mass disks and the Haydn Mass boxset are near to the pinnacle of Richard Hickox's achievement.. they really are a wonderful legacy.
I also agree on the Haydn Masses Jared; they are excellent!

Yep and Bruno Weil recordings with the Taflemusik are just sublime

A couple of inexpensive but well regarded discs from the Arte Nova label.
Piano Concertos of the 1920s V1
Antheil (# 1), Copland, Honegger, Ravel (in G)
Piano Concertos of the 1920's V2
Schulhoff, Antheil (A Jazz Symphony), Gershwin (in F)
Michael Rische piano with various orchestras
Quite interesting.
