Glad you like it Pearse, I took that on a visit to St Angela's College Sligo about three years ago, you may be familiar with the place.

It was a religious institution of some description ( not sure if convent, boarding school or what) but there was a small rose garden there. As I do love flowers I took de shot.

I think St Angela's is now part of Galway University, or it was, as I did hear the Dept of Education were trying to shut it down or something. Not sure what happened since.

I also liked that one Adrian. Like cybot's shot earlier it was simple but has lovely colour contrast. The rose has a very soft, subtle colour and is very well offset by the darker background.

Very familiar Adrian....my first long term girlfriend was boarding there many years ago so I have vivid memories of sneaking in and out at night to avoid the nuns....I was not passing much heed of the rose gardens back then!!!!
I fished Lough Gill in a lakeboat for most of my early years so the sight of it in its old format overlooking the lake is also an indelible memory for me, shame that it has become a big white monstrosity since then and it is now a real blight on the landscape, some Irish Planners have a lot to answer for but glad they kept the rose garden :-))
