A 2001 Boxset from Rounder Records 60 odd tracks covering music genres from early American Folk, Country, Bluegrass, Zydeco, Cajun, Blues...
I learned a lot just having this playing in the background.
Roots music and some not so much, but with a definitive link back to to it.

Klezmer Conservatory Band, Tish Hinojosa, Slaid Cleaves, IIIrd Tyme Out,
I never heard of them either, but they more than hold their own beside Joe Ely, Dave Van Ronk, Boozoo Chavis, Norman Blake, Robert Nighthawk & Carey Bell...

Radie Peat (of that famous shop on Parnell St) and Spud Murphy who is a sort of roadie, technician, producer with Lankum.

A sublime listen played by amazing musicians from "Rollercoaster Records" based in Kilkenny. This needs to be shared among us few with the time and temperament to apricate it, (that's us retired from the weekly pay-packet kind of people), a beautiful rendering of some well known traditional pieces, some from giants of the genre, O'Riada, O'Carolan, along with a smattering of his own compositions. All wonderfully recorded.

I picked this up on vinyl in a local market. Great to hear some electric folk from a long lost band

I remember Gaye and Terry Woods, wasn’t Ed Deane with them back then.
