Hey guys - wondering if anyone has an already built basic dedicated audio pc for sale? I would like to try one out and spend some time with it to really hear the benefits over my run of the mill laptop.

If anyone would like to loan me one for a week or two that would also be great. I'm gonna have a look in the for sale section now and see if there is anything there but there wasn't last time I checked.

Cheers

Paddy

I tried today to change the PPA clock, but PC didn't wanted to start.
No red screen (never got to that point) just hearing for one second my PS trying to start, than for 4-5 sec. silence and all over again!
Ground and data were conected in the same spot like PPA clock was, only the 3.3v was on batery.

Take it out Adam and try it without the card. At least it will eliminate that as the problem. Sorry Adam read that too quickly thought it was the pang card.
It is a new clock. Fair play to you I would need Nigel with the soldering iron fired up and a large brandy for my nerves

I dont have any pics because I used anly the aligator clips and now I put back the PPA clock.
The ground was conected instead of the black wire form the picture above and data also in the same place.
On the new clock and "what is what" I folowed again your pointers.
