Hi, Gordon,
listened and compared three of your latest "releases", would like to share my impressions:

Voices Bass control
V155: ++ ++

V153: + +++

V148: +++ +

V155 seems the best allrounder to me, but being picky, sorry, somehow I miss the bass control of V153 and the voices of V148...
Changing the versions dependent from the song :-)
cheers
Markus

Hi Gordon, with all respect :-) are you sure?-
Gave mqnplay v.156 a try and for me it clearly sounds like a winner. Betters all control/play versions I know.
Bass control, mids, heights, treble all there, excellent. My new favorite.
Wanna keep it :-)

Thank you for all your passion and effort,
Markus

well, not that sure, my ears haven't been much good all week.

uploaded v158 - went back to v156 and found something else that could be removed (the code is the same as v156), think that's the sound I'm looking for.

idiot ms defender is reporting sse4 win 10 version as a virus despite it only being 2 lines different to w2012 r2. malwarebytes says it's ok.

v159 very very good.

v160 not too shabby either.

I would love to use recent versions on my Lenovo SSE4.2 laptops, but mqndevinfo crashes out (exception c000001d) on W7, W10, or 2012R2 (fresh install). Nor will regedit find "tusbaudio_enum".
Am I missing something? My DAC is a hiface based JKDAC32, which uses some sort of block mode, so could this be the problem?

(I am new to this forum, but I have understood most of the MQN thread - quite an Odyssey - and I'm using an early version - 2.53 - which to me is very impressive.)

requires kernel streaming asynchronous mode to work, so likely blocking mode won't work.

v160 sounds a bit weird, think v161 is the final version then.

uploaded loader v31 and control v54 for extra resolution and presence.

Music is actually enjoyable to listen to now.

loader v31, control v54 and player v161 mark a higher level again. Thumbs up!!!
Do not know how you make it, but you did :-)

all best regards
Markus

mqndevinfo has the problem. Kernel streaming appears to work ok in JPLAY.
