Hey Greg
I picked up a used sdtrans from diyaudio, saved a few bucks and was easier.
I didn't make any mods yet, was running it stock when I plugged in the wrong adapter and blew it.
It runs some stuff right off of the 5VDC in, so it is really blown.
But on the good side, I finally added a lifepo4 battery to my usb card, and usb sounds pretty good with my soekris dac.

I finally tried a "real" A123 26650 battery in my dac.
I bought a few, replaced the one that powers the isolated section and my usb to i2s converter.
Made a significant difference, better resolution, so going to buy more a123 batteries to use in the dac.
The pair that powers the ladder shift registers is next.

In the US, ebay or here

If you're in the EU, I think they are easier to find there.

Hi, for the potato flip-flops, where shall I connect the OE pin to?
Other pins are straightforward. Thanks.

Did you get the 373?
OE is active low, so tie it to ground.
This way, outputs are always active, which is what you want.
If OE is high, outputs go high impedance, which basically means they don't do anything.

Thanks, Randy.Yes I am planning to get the 373. I will tie it to the ground.
Not sure if it helps DAM1121 (with different implementation of clock than 1021 if I remember) but won't mind trying. :)
Cheers.

Good luck
Potato has an ebay store, my 373 should be arriving any day now. Bought a cheap ebay adapter to mount it on for wiring to. Just power it with a lifepo4 and you should be good to go.

Do not use a 373. Made a mistake :(
Need a 374. Or two 74s. But the 374 will be easier to use for this
