So far I have had no startup- crackles, also not when the first track started with a 5 sec silence.

It doesn't really disturb me, so don't bother. Will do a complete shutdown/restart as well and see if that helps.

Will have to wait till tomorrow for v98

On my setup v98 has fat bass which is undefined/unstructured and tends towards booming. It is certainly overpowering.
V96 is better in balance IMHO and certainly not bass-shy.

agree about v98.

uploaded v102 which is a bit closer to the target. v96 sounds a bit too open for me.

A problem with all the new multitrack versions:

When I play a singletrack playlist, sometimes it play fine, but sometimes it will not play the file - either mqnplay do not start, or I get this message:

"Mqnplay.exe - Application Error
The instruction at 0x40001347 referenced memory at 0x00000100. The memory could not be read."

Always when I put such a file as first (or any) track in a multiple-track playlist, it plays fine.

But I would very much like to be able to play also single-track playlists.

Cheers

janh, is it a small file ? think control is closing before the play can start after the first file is loaded, can make control pause for longer before closing.

Yes, here seems like all small files <=27 Mb will not play singeltrack playlist, but from 27.9 Mb upwards all will.

No issue here playing single file playlist with small files.
Tried with 9Mb - 12Mb files.

Problems only with singlefile playlist. Two small files (5 Mb+6 Mb) together in a playlist play fine.
