Ah, this is lovely, full of frailty, enthusiasm and folky weirdness. In a way like the 66 year old me remembers 1969 Dublin through very rose tinted glasses. At times the music nearly falls apart but is saved by a time change or a recorder coming out of nowhere.

Altogether a more professional and confidant album, but losing the innocence of Kip. Generally leaning away from folk towards rock, with Gary Moore adding a bit of beefy guitar, Brush Shields on bass and Dave Mattacks on drums.

Both worth a listen, if even just for a snapshot of the time.
I have the first one that I picked up in a j shop for the princely sum of one pound. An original too ;)
While I’m here I might as well mention Trees. I’m sure you’ve heard of them. Great psychedelic guitar from Barry and a definitive version of She Moved Through The Fair which Celia makes her own. Sadly she’s gone along with drummer Unwin leaving Barry, David and Barry as a reminder of a band who burnt out after only two stellar albums.

lovely recording. Wasn't sure if I'd like it but must say it's a grower. Sad about him and AS but as we say, that's life I suppose
