Same here Gordon
v34 so far best
I never use MQn in core before and today I switch and it is amazing
I dont think any player out there can match analog sound MQn creates
Well done
Try couple of loaders v19 it is one I pick every time
Thank you

Compared to v30, v34 is much better - clarity, purity of tone, colour, more life to the music.
Very enjoyable to listen to v34, thanks sbgk.

Does mqnplay v34 require mqnloader ?
I think the versions that work with mqn.bat don't need mqnloader.

I think it does
I use it actually it was in the folder
Maybe Gordon can clarify that
Thanks

yes still requires all three parts: mqncontrol, mqnloader and mqnplay.
Not related to mqn.bat or not.
mqncontrol calls mqnloader which calls mqnplay.

Yes I confirm that
When you double click MQn.bat it calls mqn conrol which call mqn play and music flows

I think, you might confound mqnloader.exe and mqnload.exe. The first is needed and is part of Gordons solution. The latter is an alternative to mqn.bat.

Any functional changes?
Sound quality is superb (maybe even better than v34)

screen switch off removed and alignment change in control/loader
v36 went back to v30 code, thought v34 sounded a bit loose and v36 is more precise (v36 is probably exactly the same as v30)
v30 had 3 instructions (haswell can make them 0 latency) between wait and io and v34 had 5 (which included a memory operation),
so seems 3 is better after all.
