Gordon I hope you could compile 120mb file size limit / requirement version of Mqnloader.exe v7.

I really like v15 ldn but it is pain in the back side to work with 50mb limit. I mean smaller files are fine as I can easily add some extra wave to the end of it making original file bigger then 50mb and just to stop playback after tune is finished and before added part starts but if I have larger file then splitting it into 50mb chunks is a nightmare.

It would be much easier to have much higher limit and join files to have one usable and full tune in it then work wit 50 mb limit.

Unfortunately I could not hex edit it ;)

Cheers,
seb

I believe Gordon is now working on an unlimited multitrack loader.

interesting that the father of ABX testing Arny Krueger when arguing that someone is not hearing improvements due to an external clock says the following :-

"When listening to an impressive new system I always sense some kind of a "Halo effect" that makes all of the differences seem like improvements. In fact were I to listen to that system extensively, I would probably start picking up on some of its suboptimal performance features, which pretty much have to be there. This is, after all the real world!"

So in the real world, differences are best determined by extensive listening. Think we knew that, but nice for the father of ABX testing to confirm he also uses that method.

Am working on it, but am a bit rusty.

Also MS wants to deprecate one of the settings I use, otherwise it sounds a bit digital, doubt I can argue a case based on sound quality.

Is it to happen in windows 10? If so we should be fine for 2012 ;)

You can always try, as they appear to have been improving SQ with each of the recent releases of the OS.

I mean we will probably wait some time for the new functionality so if it is not a big deal to compile version of Mqnload allowing for 120mb file size then it would be perfect.

Thanks

I do not want to sound too dramatic, but is this the end of MQN?

I hope not.

I'm eagerly awaiting an unlimited mqnloader and hopefully multiple high-resolution mqnplays.

MQn is still to only player that gives me a WOW-experience.
BHE does a great job as an alternative for high-res in the meantime, but it doesn't have that WOW.
