The last one I tried was v12.

I would try the latest ones (v14, v15), as v11 and v12 had a way of accessing the driver that wasn't compatible with all driver software.

v15 vs v14
v15 is clearly better. piano more colour and very good.
I also think v15 has less glare on very high notes (violin, soprano), makes finer to listen. In an orchestral record higher violin sounds were sometimes less prominent in v15, I thought that was fine.
Even choir had better clarity and smoothness.
So v15 clearly the best (so far).

that really is the best I can do without hacking drivers etc.

next step would be linux with modified kernel and drivers, that's a long term goal.

so now to make it functional.

Yes, linux is quite promising. I´d love to have MQN on this OS. Actually i´m listening to a cute little raspi with mounted IQ-audio-DAC, software is "moOde audio player" http://tcmods.org/ and I must say: well done!

+1 on v15.
Best version so far. It has all the details and insight of earlier versions, but has so much less glare on high notes (vocals, el.guitars, small strings and etc) as JanH noted! So thumbs up for this one!

At the moment i’m using the computer based crossover software from mr. Thuneau.

The Loudspeaker Frequency Allocator is a 4-way, stereo DSP loudspeaker Crossover.
I use it in Foobar with the VST adaptor.
Is it possible to use MQn with the frequency allocator?

Not unless the thuneau software presents itself as an audio device with a Kernel Streaming driver and behaves as one.

I dont know if Thuneau presents itself as an audio device.

It is a VST plugin that needs a VSThost.
It can be used on its own as a VSTShell. You need a soundcard with ASIO driver to connect with the input and output of the soundcard. Wil also work with ASIO4ALL.
The way it can be used to play Music from the pc is inside another program. I use it inside Foobar. I geuss Foobar stereo out goes into Thuneau which makes eight channels.
I read that Foobar can be used with MQn.
I was hoping it would works with the Thuneus software in it as wel.
