v3 has the aligned code with the better method.

This one is somewhat better than the other ldn versions, but IMO not as good as the align version.

It seems as if the ldn versions darken the sound and thereby loose definition and mask subtle movements, it is clearly less good than the align version on my setup.

Or I have to modify something in that folder?
I just want to try if it works with my Xenon cpu
Thanks again
Congrats on your new pc
I will be getting it soon
Does your Xenon cpu support AVX instruction set? If not, it's best to use the SSE2 versions and maybe SSE4 if your cpu support it.

I have listened to these MQn versions, using AO 1.30 optimization in all three modes (GUI, minimal-server and core):
- control 4.02/play 8.86 Avx2,
- c 4.25/p 9.12 Avx2,
- c:\musicplayer with files: mqncontrol v7, mqnloader v7 50mb, mqnplay win2012 r2 align.

My experience:

- control 4.02/play 8.86 Avx2:
Plays ok in GUI and minimal-server modes. It will not play any music in core mode.

- control 4.25/play 9.12 Avx2:
Plays in GUI and minimal-server modes. In both these modes it plays all music, except first couple of seconds of first track is always missing.
It will not play any music in core mode.

- c:\musicplayer with files: mqncontrol v7, mqnloader v7 50mb, mqnplay win2012 r2 align:
Plays in all modes (also core). Always plays music from start. The improvement in SQ from 4.25/9.12 is huge.

at last got the second function working and makes quite a difference, once heard there's no going back. It's a beautiful sound when I heard it tonight for the first time after a lot of time trying to get it working, a miracle.

amazing depth and insight into the music.

So that really is the start of the end of the sq mods, just a bit of tidying up and from here on it's functionality.

Was a bit downhearted when I read that when user mode transfers to kernel mode the kernel doesn't trust the user mode parameters so does extra checking and probes the memory addresses, but this new version sound fantastic, so mood has brightened a bit. Maybe one day there will be a kernel mode player.

....
No interim release of this version yet?
Google drive shows the ldn v3 as the latest.

You're making me curious.

Cheers
