In remembrance of the wonderful Johnny Duhan.
I only have three of his albums Flame, The Voyage and Just Another Town.
To my mind Just Another Town should be revered as a benchmark for singer songwriters.
I seen him in concert just the once, on a wickedly bad weather night, but the gig was in my local theater so we went. There was not much more than a dozen or so people turned up. Johnny true to form had everyone come down to the front and played as if we were in his front room.
A great memory.
Ah I wasn’t aware of that. A very much under the radar artist too. The only album I have of his is his huge contribution to the soundtrack of ‘Reefer and the Model’.

That’s a few years old now.
I was never a Sonic Youth fan but the cover back then bought my eye.

The cd version has that blue net covering the disc. Pity it’s the wrong shade of blue 😊

I still remember the day I heard music from this record. I was a student spending time in a record shop in my hometown. The guy at the desk, "Giorgione" (Big Giorgio) was a great music fan and happy to introduce any kind of music to anyone attending the shop. I listened to the first track and was mesmerised. I couldn't buy the record that day, but it got stick to my mind and bought it months later. Probably my first ECM record. Giorgione is not with us anymore but his love for music left traces like this one. This is for you.
