Have you removed the rectifier? Can't see with that LED glare.

(Are you sure +- 7 volts is enough - seems cutting it too close to me)

Surprised you have had that board for a couple of days and those caps are still attached!

I have yet to get around to using batteries for power out of laziness but figure when I do and I remove the rectifier I will get those other things out of the way, too.

My MB with the serial port died. I see you are inserting new filters - would you tell me exactly what you are using to do this since you are, after all, the man with the ...

Why do you not have the thing set for I2S? Do you use SPDIF at times?

Just started where I left off
were taking it slow......

rectifier gone
ldo gone
5v regs next
then the caps

seems to work fine down to 6.4v

didn't bother setting input for anything yet

I got one of them brain box usb converters and extra putty a la dimdim
although I had to cross tx and rx to get it to work

I agree there is no need for LDO regs to bleed off unneeded voltage.

That BRAINBOX thing is expensive - but if it works ... Will have to get one on order.

brainbox is likely ott pricewise
the serial seems a little finicky so i just wanted to have a bit of confidence in the device
ive a 2$ one too i must try it

5v regs gone and working from +/-5 v and 3.3v

now to remove and add caps
which doesnt look easy
