James, this is a mains plugtop that can accept up to four mains cables. Years ago I bought a couple, they work as mains plugtops but there is no way they could 'improve' the electricity supply to equipment. It is possible that I still have one in the garage, if so anyone here can have it for free. A bottle of Midleton whiskey and I will deliver it in person......

Agreed ..

I gave two links to tnt-audio.com
one was a DIY mains cable; the other a replacement for a distribution block [it has no on/off switch, no light and the signal paths are short]

Oh dear God NO!! I don't find it a very nice place over there sometimes...

I was joking (sarcasm) as I don't think any thread has every gone near the wam level of intensity/nastiness. We almost seem balanced and normal by comparison.

The power thing should be onboard by the weekend and sure we will see but will be shocked if I notice anything. The supertweeters purchased recently really added a sparkle to everything and at the risk of being repetitive I believe components make the biggest contribution to the picture.

Really I just want to keep the thread going to see if it can get to a 1000 views

Well, as DaveF will confirm, these things take time to "burn in" so don't expect anything massive straight away. ;~)

Chuckle!

You might be surprised though. I noticed a big difference at home when I borrowed Sligolad's. I still miss it.

I will let Davef know straightaway if it moves heaven and earth. Maybe the fan will add something special to the sonic signature?

Absolutely. In the land of make-believe, fairies and where everything is made of chocolate.

I’ve had my cables out of the system for the last week to enjoy the free cryogenic treatment the freezing weather has provided.
I placed them on the permafrost in the lee of my garden shed
They are due back in tonight after some wonderful sub-zero temperatures.

I'll get me coat!
