That's great Sligolad - thanks for stepping in there.

John - Sligolad is going to bring his jkdac32 so at least you'l have some representation. Interestingly, the version of jplay I have here is 3.0 and I think Sligolad has 3.4, so it will be interesting to see if there are differences between the 2.....

Fran , version 4 is planned to be released sometime this weekend and it is reputed to be a further improvement, it's not out yet but when it is maybe Pearse or myself will be able to bring it too. The developers got a major recommendation from The Absolute Sound magazine, this week end also , see jplay.eu

Echo the thoughts from Claus. Really enjoyable day, many thanks to Fran for arranging this and it was great to meet so many people.
Personally I thought the JKDAC was very impressive and as per previous session love the quads.

Well it was great to put a face to so many names, a wonderful afternoon, two dedicated listening rooms and in between music tracks a bit of serious discussion on music!!

For me I thought the laptop as source with JKDAC was very impressive and it was great to see it in action, however I thought the vinyl LP sounded more real. Methinks vinyl still has the edge!! I was commenting to Cybot about how much bigger the vinyl LP sleeve and cover is when compared to CD. I require glasses to read the print on a CD case, but not so on a vinyl cover!! The font is so much bigger etc.

The Frugal Horns were very impressive & for their price range they are a real bargain and will give speakers up to 2K a serious run for their money, no doubt about it.

Special thanks to Fran + family to allow a bunch of hi fi anaoraks in the door!!!!!!!
