what's your cpu usage like with your underclocking profileTioFrancotirdor wrote:Yep. V31 is gorgeus. However on my win 2012 r2 once I play v29,v30 or v31 the songs play but the system hangs. Screen freezes and I cannot move mouse. Keyboard do not work. Should I assign mqn affinity to single core?

Well, even under full speed (3,2Ghz) there is 56%!!! usage on cpu core on which mqn is running.nige2000 wrote:what's your cpu usage like with your underclocking profileTioFrancotirdor wrote:Yep. V31 pretty detailled, not sure about some slightly distortion like it is oversharped? Need some more listening to certain files. A pity, I am missing my smaller files from my test suite because of the 50MB boarder. ;)
Regarding CPU usage: The change happened with the 8.1 versions. Till v28 taskmanager showed 0% usage, then v29 with 26-27% and both v30 & v31 with 25%. That was the explanation for the hickups I described in my feedback on v29; they were gone after I have assigned cores and priorities.
All based on my system, same behaviour, as to be expected, with OS booted in RAM or normally.
Take care

For wav <50mb Download "free mp3 joiner" and merge same small wave files twice into one. The you we will be able to play :)Octagon wrote:Hi Gordon, sbgk wrote:v30 is about as good as it's going to get

that means the wait function isn't working properly, mine is below 1% on mine.TioFrancotirdor wrote:Well, even under full speed (3,2Ghz) there is 56%!!! usage on cpu core on which mqn is running.nige2000 wrote:what's your cpu usage like with your underclocking profileTioFrancotirdor wrote:Yep. what you can do is open task manager before starting mqn and then highlight mqn and press end task just as the cpu % is rising. memory goes to 95%, but cpu goes back down to < 1%, sounds ok. will need a reboot afterwards though because mqnplay task can't be terminated, but you'll have control of the pc for other tasks.

Are you using Win8.1 or Server2012R2?sbgk wrote: that means the wait function isn't working properly, mine is below 1% on mine.

It appears to be an incompatibility with the Server implementations, unless you run a Server as well.

Re: MQN
Gordon I do not Think I understand it well enough. My folder has: mqnplay, mqncontrol, mqnloader, test.wav. I open task manager. No mqn related processes. To play I hit on mqncontrol. Mqncontrol appears for the seconds in task manager, then mqnplay, mqncontrol disappears and music starts to play. Now if I leave it like that ten music, computer freezes after a while, but music is being played, then even it fished playing I need to reboot the pc because is freezed. If I do what you wrote (kill mqnplay before it reaches its peak usage that freezes the pc) then music stops playing.sbgk wrote: what you can do is open task manager before starting mqn and then highlight mqn and press end task just as the cpu % is rising. memory goes to 95%, but cpu goes back down to < 1%, sounds ok. will need a reboot afterwards though because mqnplay task can't be terminated, but you'll have control of the pc for other tasks.
I am doing something wrong according to what you wrote?

Re: MQN
It's just as mqnplay starts and it's cpu % is climbing eg 5, 7, 9, 12 etc select it in task mgr and end it while you can still move the mouse. would advise not to use it.TioFrancotirdor wrote:Gordon I do not Think I understand it well enough.
