The combination 4.25/9.12 cuts out the very first seconds of first title when using with WaveIO.
But sounds very good to me.

When you add convenience to MQN please consider adding a polarity switch.

Has anyone tried "Sonore USB" module? It has FPGA on isolated side, which supposed better reduce jitter.

Gordon. Assuming that you are using MQN fixed device version for the USB devices.
Does your Gustard U12 still brings further SQ improvements compering to non FPGA USB modules?

9.11/9.12 with 4.24 and 4.25 not working here. 9.10 is fine has something changed?

don't know, does the u12 use fpga ?

Haven't done a test vs the cuinas to see which sounds best, it sounds different.

+2. Setting polarity right makes a massive difference. Set it wrong and it basically breaks the track.

Cheers,

That wasn't the issue I have been spoiled with ciunas versions. Ken sorted it sent me a control with ciunas string inserted in mqnplay.
Will have to read Seb's hex editor bit for further releases. Quick listen only but track ends well before normal. Take it playing 2 tracks hopefully gets at least the one you want to hear.

If I understood correctly the combination 9.12/4.25 will only work in that combination so not with previous play or control versions.

Ken and Taggart already reported the issue of early ending of playback. Ken said it was about 2 minutes before the end of the selected track(list) and taggart noticed missing a (few) second(s) from the start.
Gordon already said he'll be looking at that, the main thing was this new combination is sounding very, very good.

So add a second track to your selection if you want to listen to the first track completely and just stop MQn when it has finished.
An easy way to stop MQn is to create a bat file, e.g. mqn-stop.bat with the following line of code:

Code: Select all

taskkill /fi "PID gt 0" /IM mqnplay.exe /F >nul
cheers
