The Grazzi brothers are back with their long awaited recording of the Mozart Oboe and Bassoon concertos. The playing is sensational -as expected- and this cd immediately goes to the top of the list.

That sounds like a good one Pepe!!

Of the 20+ Titans in my collection I simply prefer the first Kubelik/BRSO on DG:

Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra
Rafael Kubelik - conducting.

Gustav Mahler
Songs of a Wayfarer

Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau
Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra
Rafael Kubelik - conducting.

I found Berglund's Sibelius to be a pleasing contrast to the other recordings in my collection. I have cheaply rounded up the Saraste cycle on multiple CD's via Amazon Marketplace.

Yes Darren, although not always my first choice in Sibelius I do like listening to his approach; as you have already indicated his can be a good contrast to other interpretations.

Yes I do Darren, Reiner was perfection incarnate in my book.
